About Us
Welcome, Inquisitive Minds, to
The Wits Students’ Pathology Society.
We are a student society based at the Faculty of Health Sciences campus of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. The Wits Students’ Pathology Society is dedicated to sharing our passion and interest in the many fields of pathology with students specializing in Health Sciences, and anyone who may be interested! We host numerous lectures and discussions in a range of subjects to enlighten our students. We also host various workshops to equip and refine the knowledge and skills of our attendees in the field of pathology and we have autopsy viewings!

We are a band of individuals from varying paths of life and studies who use the platform created by our predecessors to educate and advocate for a spectrum of initiatives and charities in order to give back to our community. Our team is always willing to assist our community to the best of our abilities.

We have a thirst for knowledge and find immense pleasure in sharing quizzes and imparting knowledge through our social media. Of course, let us not forget our newsletter The Vignette that is filled with enlightening articles, useful study tips, fun facts and even some memes!

But most importantly the Wits Students’ Pathology Society is a family that welcomes members and encourages them to take initiatives in subjects that they are passionate about. We will always support our members and guide them when they are stuck, assist them if they are overwhelmed, and they will have always know that they have someone looking out for them
